Sebastian Vettel calls for stronger support for women in motorsport, from grassroots to pro, with more mentorship, visibility and practical steps for fans and teams to help.

Motorsport thrives on passion and opportunity, and I want to highlight the importance of creating clear pathways for females at every level — from grassroots karting to professional seats. Progress comes when talent is recognised and given room to grow.

Barriers remain real for many: access to resources, exposure and sometimes just the belief that a place exists for you. Acknowledging those challenges is the first step towards change.
Mentorship and development programmes make a tangible difference. Experienced voices offering guidance, time and technical insight can accelerate confidence and competence in young drivers and engineers.
Visibility matters. When teams, media and events showcase female participants and leaders, it normalises their presence and inspires the next generation to consider motorsport as a career.
Support from fans and teams is practical and powerful. Attend events, promote coverage, volunteer at grassroots activities, and consider mentorship or training initiatives within your organisation.
